International Mediation Team | Nishri Mediators – Divorce & Family Mediation in the New Partnership Method

Nishri Mediators is a divorce, reconciliation and international family mediation center, bringing together a team of expert mediators with extensive experience working with couples, parents and business partners in Israel and abroad. Each of us has completed in-depth training in divorce mediation in the New Partnership Method, along with practical experience in emotionally, financially and structurally complex cases – including families living in two countries, multicultural families and second-stage families.

Our shared goal is to help couples, parents and business partners move through crisis toward a clearer and more stable reality: less fighting – more partnership, less warfare – more planning. Whether you live in Israel, Europe, North America or anywhere else in the world, the mediation process is adapted to your lifestyle, your culture and your family language.

He combines legal understanding, emotional insight and practical tools to create agreements that are clear, realistic and sustainable over time.

Education:

  • M.A. in Conflict Resolution, Bar-Ilan University

By maintaining open, balanced dialogue, parents can protect their children from unnecessary harm and lay the foundations for long-term co-parenting and stability – whether they live in the same city or across borders.

Common Questions About Divorce, Family Mediation and Our International Team

Before starting mediation – locally or from abroad – it is natural to have questions about choosing a mediator, how the process works, the possibility of working online and the differences compared to a legal process. Here are some of the questions we frequently hear from couples and parents who come to us from Israel and worldwide.

How do we choose the right divorce mediator for our family, especially if we live in different countries?

It is important to choose a mediator with professional training in divorce mediation, significant experience guiding couples through separation and familiarity with the realities of global families – such as living in two countries, different citizenships or multicultural family structures. Look for an approach that is child-focused, future-oriented and based on co-parenting cooperation rather than winning a legal battle. At Nishri Mediators, all mediators work according to the New Partnership Method, which focuses on building a new and stable reality after separation – including for international families.

What makes the Nishri Mediators team an international mediation center?

Our team is made up of expert, experienced mediators from therapeutic, organizational and managerial backgrounds, all of whom have completed in-depth training in the New Partnership Method. In addition to extensive experience in divorce and family mediation in Israel, we support families living abroad, Israeli couples overseas and families dividing their lives between multiple countries. We combine in-person and online work and maintain a unified professional approach based on respect, responsibility and child-focused decision making.

What is the New Partnership Method in divorce mediation?

The New Partnership Method is a mediation approach developed by Nadav Nishri, focused on building improved co-parenting after separation. Instead of being drawn into a legal fight, we focus on managing life in two homes, financial planning and creating strong anchors for the children – so that the story the family tells itself after divorce is a story of cooperation, not war. The method also suits international families, where we must consider cross-border moves, different school systems, cultures and long-distance parenting.

What is the difference between divorce mediation and a court process, especially when there is an international element?

In divorce mediation, the couple jointly decide on the agreements, with the support of a neutral mediator who helps them see the full picture. The process is confidential, usually shorter and reduces tension. When there is an international element – such as living in two countries or holding different citizenships – mediation allows flexible, practical solutions adapted to real life. In court, by contrast, decisions are made by a judge, sometimes in different jurisdictions, and the process may become long, expensive and much harder to control, potentially escalating the conflict.

Can we complete divorce mediation online if we live in different countries?

Yes. Many couples complete part or all of their mediation online, especially when parents live far apart or outside Israel. We adapt meeting times to different time zones and maintain the same core principles: respectful, practical and agreement-focused dialogue. Online mediation is often an advantage – allowing each party to be in their own environment, reducing some of the emotional stress involved in meeting in person.

How long does divorce mediation usually take for local and international families?

There is no single answer, as every family has its own emotional, financial, parenting and sometimes international complexities. In most cases, however, a focused mediation process is significantly shorter than a legal process. On average, divorce mediation with us takes about 4–5 meetings, or around 10 net hours. Meetings can be scheduled to suit different time zones and family routines – whether all family members live in the same country, some live abroad, or you are in the middle of relocating.
