Anat Barsela
Midiator
I am a graduate of the Nadav Nishri Mediation School Practicum in Divorce Mediation. I hold an MA in Human Rights and an MA in Political Economy from the University of Essex, UK and I have extensive experience of working in international and multi-cultural organisations.
Working for over two decades in humanitarian settings with individuals and communities in crisis I have learned that, with the right guidance, every crisis is an opportunity – for learning, growth and personal development as well as that of the family and the community. For over twenty years I have been working with people in the most difficult moments of their lives. I strongly believe that honest and courageous discourse, listening and containment are the basics for finding the best way forward, especially in times of crisis. These are also the tools and skills I bring with me to the mediation room in order to be there with you and support you in those difficult moments of separation. Crisis such as separation are an opportunity for creating a new way for communicating, which is empowering for both sides, even in conflict of high intensity and, together we will find your common goals (yes, they exist), and channel them to positive communication, growth and path for building a new life – for your children and yourself.
In the mediation room you can safely express your concerns, confusion and fear of the future, as well as the hopes for a better future. You will have the space to identify your joint and separate goals and work towards them. You, the separating spouses, know better than anyone else your children and yourselves and know best what is right for them and for you. My role, as your mediator, is merely to ask the right questions, listen and enable a sensitive discourse until agreements are reached.
Rabbi Hanoch Weitman
Midiator
Rabbi Hanoch Weitman is an expert mediator in divorce and family matters. He specializes in mediating complex conflicts with religious and sectoral backgrounds and various family conflicts, with extensive experience in community, family, and couple counseling, engaging in mediation projects between communities. A graduate of Hebron Yeshiva, he is certified in rabbinics and has completed courses in couple counseling, general mediation, and a course and practicum in divorce mediation (with Nadav Nishri).
My Belief: Mediation is a way of life for resolving conflicts. Peace is a vessel that holds blessings, and without peace, we lack tools. Achieving peace is always possible through proper and healthy communication; all that’s needed is the right atmosphere and the right mediation. When you come with good communication tools, an open mind, and focus on your important goals with the help of a mediator, your peace is within reach.
Poznanski Yael PhD
midiator
Yael Poznanski is a cognitive psychologist, attention disorder researcher, and divorce mediator. She graduated from the practicum in divorce mediation and basic mediation at Nadav Nishri’s Mediation School.
Specializing in divorce mediation and creating domestic peace agreements for divorce alternatives, Yael works with couples where one or both partners have attention disorders. Attention disorder is a significant challenge in the context of a couple’s relationship. The issue of communication between partners is a pivotal and not straightforward aspect of the transition.
Yael’s ability to connect the disorder and its practical expression within the couple and family framework enables her to create a new partnership with attention to and understanding of the challenges posed by the disorder.
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Ben-Gurion University
– Master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from Ben-Gurion University
– Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Ben-Gurion University
– Coaching specialization in attention and concentration disorders from the Technion (External Studies Unit)
Yael frequently lectures to the public, teacher training, teenagers, and more on coping with attention disorders. Additionally, she treats couples, teenagers, and children in the context of turning their attention disorder from a disruption into a gift.
Belief:
The guiding principle in Yael’s life, in general, and in mediations, in particular, is the importance of open and honest communication between people. She firmly believes that as long as everything is on the table, everything is solvable. When the dispute is openly discussed, not only can a solution be found, but often it is realized that the gap is much smaller than initially perceived, especially when an attention disorder is involved. Attention disorder amplifies the brain’s natural tendency to think negatively. Accordingly, in the absence of healthy communication, the dispute intensifies to dimensions not necessarily aligned with reality, creating a significant rift. Yael works in the mediation room by raising awareness and readiness for non-judgmental and sincere communication, thereby creating a much more pleasant reality towards finding the best solution for the couple.
Speaks English, French, and Hebrew at a native level.
